This bootcamp is an intensive 2-day program designed to build a strong foundation for using data science with Python through expert instruction. You will walk away with the tools necessary to create a comprehensive data analysis from nearly any dataset.
When: October 9-10, 10 AM – 4 PM
General Admission: $99
Day 1: Selecting Subsets of Data
One of the most common tasks when beginning a data analysis is to inspect a particular subset of data. You will learn how to query your datasets using pandas in almost any way possible
Day 2: Essential Pandas Commands
The pandas library is a powerful tool that can help you create excellent descriptive analyses. On this day, you will learn best practices from the parts of pandas that are most essential to building an analytical report.
WHY SHOULD I ATTEND?
I want to write effective and idiomatic code - This course provides precise, modern, and efficient techniques to analyze data. It is easy to write ineffective code (especially with the pandas library) and it is common to find popular tutorials with misleading information. The tools and concepts in this class have been endlessly modified and adapted so that you receive the very best possible explanations and very best idioms on how to how to write effective data analysis code.
I want to learn from an expert - Ted has answered hundreds of Python data science questions online and is known for developing best practices on how to use the data analysis libraries.
- I want time to practice - The vast majority of the time during the live classes is spent completing the 300+ exercises and projects available. Ted limits his lectures to the most critical pieces of information. The focus of the class is on the student and not the instructor.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND?
Individuals or small groups with a desire to become experts at using Python to do data science.
Professionals who work with data on a regular basis and would like to add a new powerful skillset to analyze data programatically.
ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR
This course is taught by Ted Petrou, an expert at data exploration and machine learning using Python. Ted has taught hundreds of students data science using Python in live classroom settings. He is an enthusiastic instructor and dedicates his time during student exercises to ensure understanding.
He holds a master's degree in statistics from Rice University and is the author of multiple publications, including Exercise Python, Master Data Analysis with Python, and Pandas Cookbook.
CERTIFICATE OF COMPLETION
Students who complete all components of the course will receive a certificate of completion.
Refunds are available up to 30 days prior to the start of the event
